Hi Gang, I was working on my power window motor again. Drivers side, 1972. I bought this rig nineteen years ago and she came with a small box of parts. This was included, the seller probably told me what it was, buuuut that was along time ago. It looks to me like it belongs between the window motor and the door skin. After looking at a ton of window motors here I see nothing like it. I did try to google the part number with no success and nothing I could find in my AIM book or though the vendors. Maybe I am barking up the wrong tree. Any thoughts would really be appreciated as it is driving me nuts! Thanks for any advice and a Happy Labor Day to all. DSCN1955.JPGDSCN1958.JPG Mike. Sorry about the double image. :beerDSCN1954.JPGDSCN1954.JPG

It looks to me like it fits into the door itself, in one of the holes, behind the vapor barrier and door panel. It should just push into place in the appropriate cut out in the door.

Man, I thought you nailed it. I was thinking so hard it fit behind the motor. The mystery part was kind of close but a little large, oh well, thanks for the comment and have a great Labor Day, Mike. :beer

I had my original 72 window motor out a few years ago and don't recall seeing that anywhere in there?

I have two '72's, one coupe and one vert, both have power windows. I have not seen anything like that on either car.

Thanks SVO, It sure looked like it fit in there somewhere. No dice though. I hope you are OK down there with all the flooding, take care, Mike. :beer

perhaps it goes in front of,or behind the rear wheels as a cover for ????
there does appear to be a spot on the bottom of the curve where it fits iin
somewhere and the top could pull down a little to secure the top and cover something????up
