Paying Tribute Through a Corvette[/h]

For many people, their Corvette becomes a special part of their family. Fun times are had in the car, and it is a placeholder for many fond memories. Such is the case of the Alexander family’s 1979 “Corvette Red” Corvette - which was donated last week in memory of Kenny Alexander.

Museum Executive Director Wendell Strode was on hand to welcome the family and accept the keys to the Corvette. “It really reflects the people side of what our mission is all about… in preserving the past, present and future of Corvette and Corvette enthusiasts,” said Wendell.

Check out this nice video showcasing the NCM Motorsports Park - reiterating that anyone can drive on our state of the art track, and that is is one of the finest facilities of its kind in the world.

“It’s right up there in the top 15 racetracks that I’ve ever raced at," said professional race car driver Andy Pilgrim. "It’s a great acquisition for the state. This is like that golf course… you just never get bored playing it because it’s always got something for you.”
