The National Corvette Museum's High Performance Program for 2009 breaks some new ground and extends to new areas. In addition to our annual VIR event, June 29-30 this year we will head up to NJMP on July 20-21. As has been customary, we'll have members of the GM Corvette Team present as students and instructors including Kirk Bennion, lead exterior designer. At VIR we will also have Andy Pilgrim and Shields Bergstrom teaching advanced classroom and taking participants for rides on the track.
A special feature at the VIR and NJMP events is the NCM PrimeDrive, a 1-day mini-school for people who want a taste of High Performance Driving to see how much they will like it.
At the end of July we move across country to a joint event with Hooked on Driving at Thunderhill, July 30-31. This event will feature a road tour led by California Highway Patrol officers and an evening show/display in Willows California in addition to the two day school.
Information and registration can be found at www.corvettemuseum.org. Point to Events and click on the event you want in the drop down menu. For questions/information you can email roc@corvettemuseum.org or karen@corvettemuseum.org or call Roc at extension 162 or Karen at 164.
