Need 4+3 solinoid

I have been trying to resolve my 4+3 problem for months..

*replaced momentary switch on shifter,
*replaced relay on firewall
*changed oil & filter
*had my capable mechanic inspect and attempt to diagnose
where the problem lies...

heres what he says "the solinoid is getting power (via switch & computer) but will not engage the O/D..

O/D unit works, because I had him manually engage It..
ist always in O/D now, And yes I know this will eventually
burn in up competly so I driving the car very little untill this is resolved.

His diagosis is: Bad Solonoid, and apparently it is a discontinued part, someone must make one? right,
since this a major proplem that has dogged these Vettes for
some time now.. I am not ready to give up and spend thousands
on a 6-speed Richmond.

http://www.5speeds.com/kit.htm They have 4+3 Kits...they may be able to tell you where to get a solonoid
