1992 Bright Red LT1 Coupe
If anyone has a current CarFax account available, could you please run this VIN:

1G1YY23P2N5100183

92 LT1 Corvette, approx 140,000+ miles

Thanks in advance!

Well, you're already the high bidder, so. . .

The car looks nice. The mileage is higher than I'd go fo. I looked at this one a few days ago and that, the red interior and the tranny were the only things I didn't like.

Good luck!

The story of this 1992 CHEVROLET CORVETTE (1G1YY23P2N5100183) according to our interpretation of the information reported to CARFAX:
This coupe has had 4 owners and was owned in Texas. The first title for this coupe was reported to CARFAX by a Texas DMV in 1991.
It has had no minor or moderate accidents reported to CARFAX.
It has had no DMV-reported total loss events, like a major accident, fire or flood.
It has not been reported by a DMV as having an Exceeds Mechanical Limits or Not Actual Mileage title.
It has a consistent mileage history with no indication of an odometer rollback. It was driven an average of 9,855 miles per year, which is lower than the industry average of 15,000. The last odometer reading, reported on 08/09/2005, was 140,442 miles.
It was not reported by a DMV as a Manufacturer Buyback (LEMON).
Go to the Detailed Vehicle History for the complete history and a glossary of terms.

It is reported as having no problems!

Cheers,

Michael

Yes, 6-spd I'd much rather have. Lower milage too, but I can handle the interior.
If I win it at that, I think it's a good deal.

Big Thanks Michael, on the report!!

As your eBay score is '0' it is possible you are not familiar with all the features they offer. In the info box, note the vin#, below that it says "get the vehicle history report", click on that and it takes you to "Auto Check" which is similar to CarFax. The difference is the fee is only $7.99 (PayPal accepted)...not the same as "free" of course, but it does include a "buy back protection" against reporting errors, and you get a comprehensive history to print out and keep with your records. Should it turn out later to have had a 'rollback' etc. you're covered. CarFax recently bought one back, so it can happen. Hope you get as good a car as I just did.
Ps. I count 5-7 possible active bidders with 5 hours left. If you want this car you have to beware of being 'sniped' in the last seconds. Decide your max bid, and submit it within the last 15-20 seconds, allow time to "confirm" bid. Good Luck.

Are there any members in the area who could check it out for him? That would be much easier on the mind to have a Corvette enthusiast check out the car than to rely on the sellers description. Not trying to criticize the description but they're trying to sell the car.

Me, personally, that's too many miles. Then again, that's to be expected for a car that age. Like they said before, it's well below the 15K miles per year average. Probably even lower when you factor in that the car is in Texas, where he could drive it year round.

Thanks Erik...I was thinking I got a great deal as well! If I get a few good driving years out of the motor, great....then I can rebuild it, when I want. :)

Hey Michael, I am watching the "Dream Car Garage" on the Speed Channel, and those guys are featuring your work place doing a 91 Corvette with a L98 engine!!! Awsome!!
