Is there a Retained Accessory Power circuit other than the radio/CD fuse? The extra hot/accessory/ground wires in the fuse box is a great idea but the accessory wire is not a RAP. Do any of the unused fuse slots retain power?
Also, how does the dang car know when a door is open? :confused Since there is no traditional switch on the door (or did I just not find it?), how do you fool the car into thinking the door is closed so you can check the fuse box?

HI there,
You can use a screwdriver to latch the door latch closed without closing the door. Then, just pull the door handle to open it again before you actually close the door.
The RAP circuits are different from year to year, slightly.
The BCM monitors the door jamb switches to turn off RAP.

Thanks, C4C5. I discovered flipping the latch closed would trip a sensor.

What I want to do is hook a satellite receiver to the RAP so it will stay on like the radio. Any idea where I can connect?

(Got room for a c6 tat?)

Thanks, Jim

HI there,
A fuse tap to the Radio fuse on the passenger side toe board would be the most accurate place.
BCM monitors the loads and shuts down RAP when it sees a door open.

I tried tying into the radio fuse in the toe board fuse block, but that did not work.... Opening the door would not turn off the device. On the bright side, I did learn how to recover the radio security code after I pulled the fuse to add a 2-fuse adapter. :D Is is logical that I'll have to tap into the radio feed wire to have an extra RAP line?
