Need CFM infor or a 3247 Holley

Need CFM info. I have a 3247 Holley on a Big block "66"
Does anyone know the CFMs for this carb
Also Does anyone inow the CFMs for the L88 Carb Thanks for any input

The 3247 is a 780 CFM carb.

Check out the Holley web site.

Here's a rule of thumb to calculate carb CFM

Engine size (CID) x maximum RPM / 3456 = CFM
CFM @ 100% volumetric efficiency

So for your 427 it should be about 700 CFM at 100% VE. The 3247 sounds about right.

I have a 3367 (585 CFM) on my 66 427 Vert and it runs just fine. Although I do not do much wide open throttle driving.

holley carb

I have a holley 650 double pumper on my 427 and it ran great. However, I installed one of the proform race bodies ($100) in it ( supposed to flow > 750 cfm ) and it really screams all the way to the 6000 rpm redline. It doesn't have a choke tower but my old setup didn't use the choke anyway. This was a wonderful mod.

Best regards,
Gerry
