Dang, my age is catching up with me. I've had my vette for 4 years and the lumbar adjustment has never worked. Never been a problem until recently, but now my lower back seems to hurt if I spend too much time in it. (Yes, I know...stiff suspension, and the usual gymnastics of getting in and out certainly don't help.) I've resorted to a wadded-up towel against my lower back, which helps somewhat.

Has anyone taken the seat apart and worked on that system? The pump works, and all the other seat adjusments are fine. Is it something I can do or should I take it to a specialist? I suspect it's a leaky bag or a loose hose.

Oh yeah...it's an 84, with leather and 47k on the odometer.

Thanks, all, in advance for your help.

I am re-upholstering my seats and found that the plastic containers were broken.

when you open the adjuster in the seat you should see 3 containers with each 2 tubes attached. just look if they are not cracked.

to test the bladder you can disconnect the tubes under the seatcushion and blow in them.

any further questions send me pm or mail, I will try to help.

Thanks, Jeroenvgfn.

I will start taking it apart and see what I find.

(By the way, in what part of Holland are you? I have family scattered throughout there. Look for an email from me.)

when avoiding rush hours you can drive in 2 hours to all destinations in Holland from where I live.
