need help replacing door hinge????

Fe-nominal site!! i think i've learned more in the last two hours reading everyones posts than in the last two years i've owned my vette.

I need to replace a broken driver side door hinge on a '69. i cant find any information on how to do this - only info on replacing the door spring, which doesnt help me. does anyone have any helpful hints on this process?? Does it involve removing the dashboard, guages, etc...to get to the bolts. does the door have to come off to do the replacement??
