My vert is in the shop getting a new top. The top frame is bent and needs some work. I had another shop replace the header(very front part that attaches the top of windshield frame) in the past. The guy at the shop it is at now says that the header is bolted to the frame, however, the previous person welded it to the frame. I need some input from someone on if it is bolted or welded.

Also, can someone send info and better yet some pics of where the tension cable is attached on each side? My car is in the shop so any info asap is greatly appreciated!

Thanks Tom. Any input on where the tension cables are attached?

One end is pop-riveted to the header, the other to the cross bow behind the side window (I think). Not sure as it has been a few years since I replaced mine. Should be able to lay it out against the top, find the hole in the header where it had been fastened and run it directly to the rear. Should show you where it hooks up back there. The cable keeps the top tight over the door glass so would run parallel to the top of the glass.
