Need more help

I have figured out why my 81 won't run. I seem to have a short somewhere that burns out the ignition module. Been through two of them trying to find the problem. When I test the system I have power on the condenser side and a very dim light on the five pin side. Does anyone have an idea as to where to look? I would like a good starting point so that I am not looking in a completely wrong direction. I have tried to run a different ground wire with no luck. What do I need to do to trace this problem?
