Thanks Rick for your reply, looks like you have driven a few Z's. I had a 72 and 87 convertible and did not regret selling the 87, the c5 is so much better driving then the older ones. I hope the ZO6 is as good as people say it is.

Corvet3,

Having a good friend that said he would "never trade in his first vette ('94 polo green coupe)." One dark and stormy night, after a Circle City Corvette Club meeting, we drove over to Penske Chevy. My buddy fell in love with a '02 Millenium Yellow Z06. The next morning after our midnight shift of work, he dropped off the '94 and drove over my house in the '02.

Thanks for your reply Ironcity, looks like I made the right desicion, still have to wait till first week in november for delivery. Build week is the second week in october. The only vettes around here are the die cast models right now ,feels strange to walk in the garage and see that empty spot. Do you drive a vette and what year is the car????
Norbert.

Corvet3,

Once in a while, I'll drive my friend's '02 Z06 and another friend's '01 C5 ( I have great friends, I'm indebted) :BOW They know that keeps me saving, planning and scheming for a corvette. I haven't an exact one picked out. I change my mind constantly.

Until then I have built a couple 1/25 scale models. Something I haven's messed with in 20 years or so. I am a huge fan of the Corvette Action Center Website. I have learned a ton of information and can wait for the day to put a full-scale owner statistic.

I would like to spend time in a C3 or even older. Like I said I change my mind constantly. One day I'll have a moment of clarity I hope.

Just curious,

Since there was little, if any, change from the 02' to 03' Z06, why didn't you get the 02'? I would've probably went for the instant gratification instead of waiting what seems like soooo long!:L

I also ordered a MY 03 Z06, tpw 10/13. I went for the 03 for two reasons. First, it's the 50th anniversary year, and any car that year will be worth a little more. The second reason? Three words -- Corvette Museum Delivery. :D

I had a 99 C5 and now the 2001 Z06..What a blast..both great cars yet I truly do find the Z much more like the raced tuned version that it is..

Good luck with the 2003..the best one yet!

Congratulations

JB

Cnt be wrong................

I have owened two other corvettes (1985 and 1989) before purchasing my current 2003 Z06. The Z06 is by far the best vette I have ever driven or even rode in. Enjoy!
