Trying to do the right thing. Water pump starts leaking on road trip, goes unnoticed til first pit stop. Doesn't seem too serious though, water level still up there. Next thing you know the optispark stops working. So I replace the water pump and optispark unit. Everything's back together, yet the engine will only turn over but will not start. Somebody's got to know what wrong with this picture. Double checked, the wiring was done properly. Why won't it catch?

Perhaps the battery was sitting for too long without being charged? Check the battery and see if it's still good.

I'm no expert. Did you check for spark? Obviously, if you put everything back the same way the opti or some other part is no good. Very frustrating indeed! All that work. Seems like I'm doing things twice more often now then before. Check connections.....some of the moulds they pour today leak down into connection areas.....very hard to detect...use a loop for examination. You'll find it!
