Hi everybody. New to site and happy to have found it! I am starting my hunt for a C4 ZR1. For the $ what an awesome car. One question I have is why does it look like the performance numbers for the 90/91 models seem to be thought of as the quickest in some tests and posts I've read? Do you have any suggestions on any model year that might be more problematic? I found the ZR1 Registry, any other good sources for ZR1's for sale?

Thanks for the replies!

Actually, they're not the "fastest" but they are the quickest.
Why?
The 90/91s are just a bit lighter.

Also, some of the info out there on the 90/91s are based on GM's data on the 89s, none of which were ever sold. They were quite light and had 3.54 axles.

If you could stage a real-world test of a stock, low-mileage 90-92 vs a 93-95, they'd be awful close. The 90-92s might have been lighter but the 93-95s had 30 more horsepower.

Welcome to CAC!!!!
Good Luck finding your ZR1!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the :CAC ... on the hunt for the "right" C4 ZR1 sounds like an enviable quest! :cool!:

Enjoy the hunt and be sure to check back often so that we can live vicariously through your search.
