New Choice for C6 Catback

This is the new GHL catback for the C6. Actually this is the one that will be installed on my C6 coupe tomorrow. Sounds great at idle, quiet at cruise and "apppropriate" at wide open throttle - all without an X pipe or resonator, and no, zero resonance. I went to see the install of the first unit last Friday, and it sold me. I wasn't going to even bother with catbacks for the C6, but OOOOH the sounds got me. Sounds like my old Hurst-Olds.

They look like Borla, but they tuck up, out of sight (except for the 4" tips). I think they may be a little smaller, but I'm not sure. The install is pretty easy - they go in as a unit, and alignment is not a problem.

It's really great that we have another choice for the C6! (No, I don't work for GHL, and I didn't get a discount for saying nice things)

There are on! I'm going for a long ride to listen to them this afternoon. I'll try to take pics over the weekend, but probably won't be doing the wav any time soon. (I really think they don't do much to really provide the true experience of the systems)

They are definately louder than stock at idle and acceleration, and they "burble" the way the old true dual musclecars used to. They are pretty quiet at cruising speeds. The system is very well made, and pretty cool looking - really a shame it's hidden under the car. They fit comfortably between the systems that are so loud that I wouldn't be able to tollerate them and the systems that you have to concentrate to hear much of a difference from stock. You probably know which units I'm referring to.

GHL is at capacity making the things now, and I bet they will be back ordered as soon as more get on the street, and people see and hear them. I got the second set made, and they start shipping to dealers very soon. It's not a huge operation, and you can appreciate the quality of the welds and polishing when you see the product and the guys that produce them.

More when I take some pictures, but I have to go Mothers Day shopping and drive around a bit.

Price depends on the dealer, but GHL is AT LEAST competitive with the market, maybe less. Like anything else, you have to work for a bargain, but you can do get a decent price. The warranty is lifetime for the owner, for what that's worth. Check out their website at www.ghlmotorsports.com for the straight poop.

I haven't used Tri-Flos so I can't compare workmanship, but they would have to go some to beat GHL. I like the work better than my last 2 Corsa systems, but that's just my opinion.
