I'm trying to put a new choke coil on my 70 454. It's the kind that sits on the intake with a rod going to the Q-jet.
The new part from Corvette Central just doesn't seem right. If I heat the old one it moves counter-clockwise (standing next to the passenger side front wheel looking at the carb) but if I heat the new one it moves clockwise.
The old one was not hooked up when I bought the car so it might not be correct (athough it is old looking and could be original).
Does anyone know which way is correct? Is there anyway to adjust the new one or will it have to go back if it is wrong?
