Just got my new Corvette Fever in and Midyear's (Dennis) vette has a NICE spread. Very Nice

Still would like to know how many inches the manifold is shortened.

Again EXCELLENT your the man.

Chuck

Midyear (Dennis) did the work, but the car is owned by another Dennis. That's not counting the 15 or so other Dennis' here in C1/C2.:crazy

Maybe we should start a Dennis thread. Maybe I should change my name to Dennis. Maybe we all should. Then, next year when someone yells, "Hey Dennis!", we'll all turn round. :D

Cowl induction??

I have a question: What's the point of a cowl induction hood on a car that has a cold air hose feeding the engine from the front?

At low speeds it should allow the engine to exhaust heat onto the windshied, but at highway speeds the windshield is a high pressure area.

PS: This is not a zinger - I really would like to know why the hood was altered, other than to clear the engine. I am always interested in learning about performance mods.

As I recall, the hood was modified extensively to give the look of a stock stinger and still allow the intake manifold to fit. The manifold was modified also. The ramjet is a pretty big manifold.

Somewhere in the archives was a post (by Midyear) on all that needed to be done to get the look.
