Im thinking of putting a new after market "Dash Pad" in my C3 ...
The original has some splits and cracks on top...
Any comments on how easy or hard it is to install and does it look anywhere near as nice as the original dash ???

thanks
Dean

I just pulled my old one off mine....didn't even know it was on there. Looked like the actual dash to me.

I bought a dash cover off e-bay for my '81 and still haven't put mine on. I do know somebody had instructions on how to install one :cool. I can't remember if it was from this forum, or corvetteforum.com ;shrug.

Replaced mine with an aftermarket unit, fits fine, looks terrific.

Cheers

Richard

I found one at Carlisle. It was cheaper than most of the major Vette catalogs. It didn't fit well - so I bagged that one. I then purchased one from Wilcox - it was also less expensive than most, and fit perfectly.

These are never fun to install. Drop your steering column - and I also removed the steering wheel for even more clearance. Be patient.
