I just got my new door panels for the 77, I am going to change the trim over and was looking for any comments or tips on this. As most of you know most of the trim swap is straightforward. But what about the door handle trim parts with the rivets?

Grind them off drill and reinstall with self-tapping screws and a washer?

Thanks Steve

I have a '79 and posted this question on CF several days ago. Here is a reply I received. Hope this helps.

Lower edge of carpet is sewn to vynal...vynal is wrapped under the bottom of panel and stapled to door panel on the back side. Top edge of carpet is held on by chrome strip. Don't know what others have done about replacing JUST the carpet...I actually sewed mine back onto the old vynal then re-stapled...but carpet with vynal already attached is available through catalog vendors.
