You should check Quantus for pricing on the tank before you buy from CC... Quantus is the manufacturer, and does sell direct. You will need the tank, cork filler neck gasket, and it is best to swap out the sending unit while you are there. It does require a special tool. Another thing to check are your gas tank strap pads, and the straps themselves, and all the nuts 'n bolts that you have to take off to get the job done. Best way to do this is pull the tank, then order your stuff. You may want to have a few feet of new fuel hose handy. I found a bunch of wasted lines when I did my tank. Last but not least... when was the last time you replaced your fuel pump and filter?

I second that! The guy who owned my old 71 before me spent the bucks on a GM tank but didn't reinstall the freakin strap pads. Of course, I didn't know this until about six months after buying when I started smelling the gas. The right strap rubbed a hole in an otherwise brand new tank. :mad

Thanks for all the help
