New here on the forum, be patient with me, owner of 1981 Corvette needing information on restoration

:L We have a 1981 Corvette that has a hatch back in it and it does not look to be an add on . Everything is molded perfectly and mounting brackets are there. There is no fiberglass around the flashings

I don't know much about the 81 model but it's certain we have many here that are very knowledgeable.

I have seen many, well several 1981's that have the 82 CE Hatch back window. Most were taken from wrecked 82's 2 I've seen were an after market window hatch kit.

Be assured there were no 1981's factory produced Hatch Back Window Corvettes, that was strictly a 1982 CE option only

We have a pretty good representation of 1981 owners around here, we even have our own L81 Forum within the C3 Forums :dance

I guess I better check the L81 Registry for new memberships ... Just in case you didn't know L81VetteRegistry

I thought I was right 81's did not have hatch back, thanks for all the help. Body shop did a good job installing the add on. I will let this thread die also Yes Yoda We are registered in the 81registery (Sharon and Terry Storts)
