I am convinced that my poor driveability issues with the 85 FrankenVette are all related to a couple of bad injectors.
I had/have a set of Accel in there. I believe they were either 24 or 26.
I have a terrible time getting too lean on acceleration or under a load, and it appears one or two are leaking down after shut down.
Just went through the Accel calculation chart...it comes up right at 29 lbs per hour needed for the 383 with the hot cam, 1.6 rollers, 2.02/1.6 heads, and 10+ compression. They don't have a 29, only a 30 at that point.
I ordered a set of 30's and a BBK adjustable regulator kit.
I will need help installing them as my arm will still be useless at that time. They should get here next week, then I can try it out.
I tried KEN's 35# units on my 90, and it killed the car. It was WAY too much fuel to even accelerate. I hope the 30 will be okay on the 383. The next lower choice is 26.
We will see..............
