Hello Folks: I am new to this forum and a fairly new 81 Vette owner (first one) from Ontario, CAD. I have been reading many theads and posts here. Very Very good info, tons of experience. I have learned so much and thank everyone that has unknowingly already helped me to correct a few issues. My 81 is in really good condition and came up from texas. Only minor issues. When I figure out how to post pics I will

First question: My engine light wasn't working, upon inspection I found no bulb in the slot. I put a new bulb in and engine light works. However it comes on every couple of minutes then goes out. (probably why no bulb!!) I understand how to jump the connector under the ash try to obatin fault codes and I have a print out of the codes and what they are, but how do I know how many flashes etc.. for each code. thanks

second question: My fuel light remains on all the time even with a full tank of fuel. Gas gauge works (needle bounces a bit when driving). Sender unit seems good,

thanks

Dunzvette81... welcome to the CAC! Sorry you didn't get the response you were looking for but it's likely that no one who could answer your questions saw the thread in the day and a half it was posted.

As you stated in your first post, there's tons of experience and info here available for everyone free of charge. And our members that frequent the C3 forums are a great bunch... knowledgeable and friendly.

As a matter of fact, we have a forum specifically aimed at the 1981 owners. The L81 Vette Registry Forum was started by one of our admins years ago and has been taken over by a member here.

Glad to hear you were able to work through your issues and questions. Maybe you'll even consider expanding your posts to include an explanation of what you found out. ;)

Congrats on your first Corvette! The C3 Generation produced some beautiful Vettes!

BTW... here's a link to the Site Help forum with lots of threads regarding photo posting:

Again, welcome! Enjoy your new '81 and the forums!
