Just installed new tires on my 2003 AE.

After reading several member comments, I took your advice and went with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ZP.

Thanks for the tips, got 25K on the original tires, can really feel the improvement.

Blade,

I thought for sure you'ld go with the Falken 451's. But instead you went with the "Falken" Michelins. Sorry I couldn't let it slip by.

Hey Blade,
I'm approaching 20k on my GY's now. The only problem - they still have plenty of tread left.

Where did you get your Michelins and how much?

NC50anny,

Are the new tires much quieter than the Goodyear EMT tires? I can not stand the road noise with the Goodyears and would never purchase another new Corvette with the Goodyear EMT's.

Remo: These Falken Michelins tires are very quite compared to the Falken Goodyears that came on the car.

Tuna: Once again, thanks for your sugguestions.

I have a friend that works for the local Commerical Truck/Fleet Michelin dealer. He got them for me.

$267/ tire for the fronts

$333/ tire for the rears

Plus balance & Install

Blade,

It sounds like you need to test their adhesion on The Dragon.

I'm probably not the only one who is ready to run it again, and again....

Yes we do, I'm ready for another Falken piece of dragon tail!

Will be in the area on July 11 & 12.

I all just put a set of New Michelins on my 1999 Convertible. Much better ride, quieter than factory GOODYEARS. By the way that road hazard warranty is a Michelin only for the run flats.

Let me drive your 'vette for 1 afternoon, I could promise you there would be no tread left, and if there was some it wouldn't be much. . .

I've been thinking of something similar but the wife would probably give me holy hell if I did since I gave her a hard time about burning the tires off her 98 a few years ago.

We'll just have to live with them a few more months.

I did peel a little off the rear tires before changing them. Made some nice donuts in a parking lot.

Vettes are fun!
