Gentlemen,

I am going to replace my stock mufflers on my 75 L48 coupe. I plan to keep the cat and y pipe setup, and I am thinking of the flowmaster 44's with aggressive sound. Some folks say they resonate too much. Opinions or suggestions please.

Yes they do drone at certain speeds and the noise can be uncomfortable. Hooker max flows are supposed to be a better choice and are affordable too. :thumb

I've been happy with mine. They do resonate a little but at highway speeds it mellows out enough to hold a conversation. I have straight pipes all the way back to the flowmasters so I don't know if that changes the tone pattern any. At idle and low RPM it sounds great though, even better when you stand on the pedal.

If you like lots of head pounding drone, the flowmasters will work great. I like a very loud exhaust note, but I like it to go out the back of the car, not in my interior.

(I'm not a fan of blowmasters, they give me a headache)

new mufflers ordered

I ordered the flowmaster super 44's. I have a pretty severe hearing loss from noise, so it won't make too much of a difference to me anyway.

:L

Now that would make them an excellent choice! You'll be sure to hear them!

;LOL

Flowmaster super 44's

Just picked up my car. The shop did a beautiful job of installation, and the sound is fantastic. Plenty of rumble for me! These mufflers make the car sound like a vette. Not the fastest by a longshot, but a fun driver.

:upthumbs
