Well guys, here's the deal, I'm off to Detroit to take a look at a 99 Nassau FRC. If it is as billed, and I think it is, it will be in garage sometime late Saturday. I'll keep ya posted.

Great talking to you on the phone today, Dale! You and the better half have a safe trip and enjoy your "break" from home. Send me an email when you get back - I want all the details.

Dale,

I take it you caught up to Guy! I know he's totally sold on his new C5...and you will be, too! Can't wait to hear the whole story.

Dale,

Please , forgive my ignorance, but what does FRC stands for? And I suspect that "Nassau" is the color, correct?

Nevertheless, Congratulations!!!!

nice color!!!:w

Got a quick email from Dale last night saying he needs sleep. I'll bet he's up and out for a drive :D.

Gerry, Heidi is right on, the FRC was built for 2 years, 99 & 00 and then in 01 became the Z06. The ride back was nothing short of AWESOME:J I had never even ridden in a C5 before climbing behind the wheel so you can about imagine. Yep the color is Nassau Blue, and she is pretty............. Just finished washing 452 miles of bugs off and rubbed her down with Meguires #7. The previous owner works for GM as a design engineer (suspension). The car has been dealer serviced since day one. Last summer thieves stole the wheels while it was at the GM dealer for service. As a result she has spanking new tires on 5 spoke 03 wheels. The most amazing thing about the trip back, (well it was all amazing) but anyway, I was shown how to manipulate the computer read out for fuel economy before I left, and get this, 34.8 miles per gallon! Cruise set at 72 mph, press down the throttle a bit and it was 85 in a heartbeat and still over 34 miles per gallon WOW do :v Guy, yes indeed I have been out for a ride.:SteerHeidi, I only caught site of 2 other corvettes on the way home. Both were headed the opposite way and if they waved I didn't see it, but I waved nonetheless

Dale,

Dale,

Does that mean that the L81 is sold? I suspect that with the recent purchase and trip that you won't make it to the Cruise-Fest?

SCWEEEET Dude!!!

Congrats on the new ride, and you never said a word:( :L ;LOL

The trip to Auburn is still up for grabs. We will just have to see how things fall in the next few weeks. The piggy bank is empty and thats the truth. I've had two inquiries this week on the 81 and I am expecting to see a guy from Knoxville next week end who may well take it home with him.

Dale,

I was just going to fire off an email to you about coming to Cruise-Fest when I read this. You do realize that your attendance is required at CruiseFest, don't you. You are required to stand before the L81 Registry Disiplinary Board, the Honorable Yoda presiding. I think you may get off easy if we all get a ride in your new Corvette.
