I will soon be putting on new sneakers on a 2000 coupe, 34,000 miles, in service date May 2000. Does it make sense to replace the air pressure sensors because the batteries could be ready to go? They are working fine now.

Thanks,

New pressure sensors...

I just had my wheels chromed and replaced the original tires on my '99 and the sensors are working fine. I don't know how long the batteries in the sensors last but maybe someone out there does,,,?:confused

Vettewine and Bluemill,

I had to replace a sensor in April because it went out, and I just recently had the tires replaced on my '98 but didn't replace the other sensors. They're working fine and considering the cost, I figured if it isn't broke - don't fix it.

Not sure about the life expectancy of the sensors. I bought my car used with 25,000 miles on it, and as far as I know it still has the original sensors on it too.

I have a 99 coupe, with 115,000 miles. I have replaced the tires 3 times about to do so again. I have always used the Goodyear EMTs and have not had any sensor problems. "knock on wood".
