I finally got around to washing the vet. While it has been on the road since May 1st the weather was not the best. Today I was off and gave it it's first washing of the year. I took a few pictues and then waxed it.
What do you think?? Copy it and blow it up.

Lookin good my friend. Now tell me, how much of the road can you actually see with all that sticking way up in the air? Looks sweet. Also, what kind of wheels are those? That is pretty close to the design I have been looking for myself.

Road visability is really not a problem. A car comming from the right can not hide behind the blower. The front or the back always sticks out. YOu have to drive the car to realize how much visibility you really have.
Those are American Racing Torque Thrust 2's 18 x 10 on the back and 18 x 8 on the front with massive 14 inch rotors.

My 7 Yr old son has been teaching me, so here I go,,,,SchWeeeeeeT Dad, Opps.:D
No really VERY Nice . looks great. :upthumbs .

This is not a great shot from the rear. The big green filters are fuel filters. The tank had dual outlets, each into it's own filter then into twin holley pumps

Very nice...probably need a little more motor, can't imagine that is enough horsepower;)

The motor is brutal. The torque is what really shows with a blower. It will lug down to 1200 rpm in 5th overdrive with 308 gearing and at the same time will light the tires with a simple roll on at the top end of 2nd gear.
With the old 411's in the rearend it wasn't until 4th that you could really lean into it.
No the motor is plenty big enough with 12 pounds of boost.

What do I think?? The thought "Holy ****" came to mind when the photo came up! AWESOME!

Guys it's a whole new experience driving that much power. I actually took it around a sweeping curve today at 120 mph and it really hugs the road. I don't know if it is just the new 18 inch tires or the massive speedway sway bar but it just plain hugs the road.
I went around a tight S bend today and held it at 60 mph knowing it could easily do it but it is scary going into the tight turn and then when you feel the way it hugs the bend you actually accelerate because confidence had increased after the first turn.
I just need faster roads. 100mph is 2600 rpm and the motor is just loafing.
The big brakes really pull you down but I did a hard brake at 120 mph while turning at the same time and the rearend feels like it would like to come around. Not a pleasant feeling.

What kind of suspension are you running? It looks like you have coil-overs in the rear, from the pictures above? I wish I could say that I got that reassuring feel flying around curves. Not that mine holds the road bad or anything, but one good pothole would easily put the backend around!

I have coilovers on all 4 corners. I also run a 1 1/4 inch speedway sway bar with bearings rather then bushings.

I would like to see a Canadian Showdown between this super looking Vette and 67heavens ride. :lou We could even start a cyber-poll and analyze the whole thing and then when the real race results are in, we could declare a cyber-winner!!! Hey this could be the Ontario World Vette Finals!!!! :W

Its looks like you are using Pro Shocks. I would like to see some more pics of the fab work you did on the coilovers . Pretty awesome. I've been studying the conversion for my 85. The brackets have to be fabed. Very nice car . You've done a hell of a job with it. Its gotta be a blast to drive.
