NEW VET OWNER

I think it's great for an 18-year-old to get a corvette. I wish I could have gotten one at that age. It's great to have one at any age of course, but to have one at 18, that's killer.

yea i have a job... im going to wait till after xmas to do some performance mods... my dad is geting me some free rims off a 2003 vette... only 3... his boss got sidways and hit a curb...

NOTHING with these cars is cheap.
True. But, the same can be said of any car. New tires on my DTS: $500. New clutch on my Pontiac mumblefieromumble: $1100 (yes, I have sold this). New 33" Mickey Thompson tires on my Wrangler: $150 each. At least you're working with Chevrolet parts, not Porsche or Ferrari. Those would cost you an arm and a leg. My '85 Vette has 102K and is very reasonable to maintain as stock. The money drain hits big when you start to do mods. Just enjoy your car (after all, it's a Vette-what's not to enjoy) and if you want mods, check your dad's wallet. After all, what is Dad/Santa for?
