True. But, the same can be said of any car. New tires on my DTS: $500. New clutch on my Pontiac mumblefieromumble: $1100 (yes, I have sold this). New 33" Mickey Thompson tires on my Wrangler: $150 each. At least you're working with Chevrolet parts, not Porsche or Ferrari. Those would cost you an arm and a leg. My '85 Vette has 102K and is very reasonable to maintain as stock. The money drain hits big when you start to do mods.
