Howdy,
I just sold my 03 Z06 and bought an 09 Cyber Gray Coupe on Friday. It is a 6 speed auto (I did not think I would be as happy with that as I am). It is a 1LT so there aren't too many options on it but I love it. I love what Chevy has done with the exhaust note. The 6.2 definitely feels alot torquier than the LS6. I also thought I would miss the HUD but I really don't. I kept slamming the trunk lid closed until I realized today that it pulls itself shut. As soon as I have a few minutes I will post some pictures. I also didn't realize how much I loved my Z until I had to leave it at the lot.

Well, as one chapter ends- thus begins another! :thumb

Congrats on the new Vette.:beer

What do you think of the acceleration of your 09 versus your 03 ZO6?

A little slower due to the auto I think. But it feels like it pulls harder

Steve, congrats on your new C6!! The Cyber Gray is a great color too.

We'll look forward to seeing photos.:thumb

I have 3LT C5 and am thinking of getting a 1LT C6. Like you, I was not sure I could live without things like the HUD. The way I figure it, the less options the less to go out later! Can't wait to see pics of your new beauty!!

^What Jane Ann said.

That sounds like an excellent upgrade, Steve! Can't wait to see it.

You might be surprised. My C6 automatic seemed slower than the six speed, but many Friday nights at the strip disproved the seat of the pants feeling of slowness. The C6 auto times were alwys quicker than my C5, and I rarely lost to C5 Z06s. Congrats on your new ride!

I drove a C5Z once. It was nice, pulled fairly well. It was stock. I then drove a new (2006) C6 with MXO and it didn't seem faster, but I was assured it was. It's speed is misleading because it's so much more "refined." Then I jumped into a C6Z...:W

Congratulations on your new C6. It is always tough to leave the previous corvette and get into a new one. Oh that we could keep all of them, but that is not to be. I have two, but it was very difficult to leave the other ones. I drive a lot at night, so I would not be without the HUD, love it.

Congrats are in order !

And guess what ?

My 2010 has been delivered, and it will be ready for me to pick up this friday afternoon :thumb

I am so very excited. I didn't get to see it being taken off the truck, as I had planned, but did get to sit in it and start it up, prior to entry into the shop for the dealer "prep".............

Looks like a weekend excursion is in order :D:);)
