Hello guys n' gals! Just joined the CAC a few days ago and I'm really glad to be aboard! I left a lengthy introduction and a show post on the 'Event Calendar' for the NJ area on May 18.
I just acquired a nice matching numbers '59, 283/245hp 4spd, red with white coves and I'm anxious in obaining some first hand information during the restoration, and making a few new efriends in the process. This is my 2nd Vette. First was a '63 split window fuelie, which I purchased 'new' .... I guess I just gave away my age.... but who cares anyway! This is America... land of the free, and the Corvette!
Anyway, my club, the All American Corvette Club, based out of Hackensack, NJ, is in the middle of preparing for our upcoming show in May. Being so close to the NCM 50th tribute, we are attempting to locate a '53 in order to set up a special display in the showroom at Great American Chevrolet for our own tribute. Can anyone help, or point us in the right direction? If necessary, transportaion arrangements can be made (within reason) to and from Hackensack, NJ.
Thanks for your help and again, looking forward to talking with some of you real soon. Buddy B
