Removing the number 7 spark plug wire!!! Lost 5 pounds of flesh off both hands!!!! Who is the sadist that thought that up??? there's prolly a tool that makes it easier.... the one just in front of it ain't much better...

Grumpy,

If you put silicone di-electric grease on the inside of the wire boot, it will come off easier the next time.

I used a Snap-On double swivel spark plug socket to remove the #7 sparkplug. You're right - the wire was the hardest to remove.

I feel for you. I did my plugs and wires last weekend. 2 1/2 hours to do the drivers side, 1/2 hour on the passenger side. The car has 60,000 miles on it, and I don't think the previous owner ever touched them. The wires would just not come off. Everything is all greased up and anti-seized for next time.
