Striker 85

As I spent my time last weekend pulling out my carpet to start my interior restro, I had a thought I want to share. Like many C3 owners who did not have a build sheet still on my tank, I hoped I would find the magical “hidden sheet” in the carpet or underlayment. At some point when I was pulling off the dash, I thought of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. How we are like the kids, searching for our golden ticket. So many posts here deal with what is the value of my Vette and how can I increase it? Some want all the newest toys and upgrades and more. Some get fed up with their lack of pedigree and buy a different Vette. Me, as I shivered in my garage, finding more things to rebuild/replace, decided I am just happy to carry on the history of the American Sports Car. I realized my golden ticket was already in my hands.

I hope everyone has a Happy New Year.:)

Striker,
A really bad day playing with an old car ALWAYS beats a really good day at work.
Happy New Year!!!!
Alan

PS: You're right ... it's not about how much it's worth.

Nice post Striker. My car will probably only be of value to me but thats okay, I don't intend to part with her. I smile when I see my car and I look forward to May when I get the thrill of driving her after 2 yrs.

I am getting excited just thinking about it! So 2008 WILL be a great year!

Thanks for the reminder, its easy to get caught up in all the goodies.

Happy New Year CAC!
