1980 Burnt Orange L48
Former member, jenshammer@hotmail.com back in 2004-05, I lost my 'vette after I had a small accident then I sold it. I came back here a year or two ago trying to figure out who I sold it to, realizing my huge mistake. A few people seemed to remember the car back then, but no worries, I have a new one!

Like the last, it is a 1980 L-48. This one is burnt orange, seems to have a lot more get up and go (need to check rear diff gear ratio) but is definitly needing a bit of work. A 75 year old guy was restoring it when he passed away, his grandkids sold it on craigslist for $4500. Half the things "broken" were fixed in 4 hours, the rest will need dollar bills thrown at them to fix.

Below are things "wrong" and their fixes, or still need fixing
Power steering broken (fixed, filled fluid)
Passenger window motor broken (fixed, plugged in)
drivers side door panel removed (installed)
wipers don't work (installed new wiper arms and blades, included)
carb has gunk on it (air filter melted, backfiring due to timing off, fixed)
Needs charge/jump every start (fixed, started twice in under 8 months)
passenger window needs adjusting
drivers window goes down, not up
need to mount window switches in aftermarket console
no stereo/place in dash for stereo
heater fan doesn't work, hot air blows in constantly
a/c belt missing, need to check function once fan is working
tiny leak in power steering
low headlights don't work
headlight assembly doesn't pop up (will replace with monza style)
engine bay looks terrible (will fix)
need another gear (probably another bowtie overdrives swap in my future)
t-tops leak (will get smoked clear one piece eventually)
spark plugs were hideously disfigured and rusted (replaced)
speedometer doesn't work (having a mechanic friend fix it soon)
battery warning light always on
sometimes after turning IGN off, annoying beep for varying amount of time.
battery/storage box missing. Trim is broken.
Side marker lights painted over.
front blinkers don't blink.
various wires and vaccuum hoses flying willy nilly around engine bay.
tach is a bit jumpy/sticky. sometimes doesn't kick in for a minute or 2.

Glad to be back!

Mr. Hammer..

Nice. With a little work and some clean up that will be a nice ride. The bra needs to go. :) (insert off-color comment here)

I have always liked that version of the C3. Congratulations on the buy!
