I am please to say, I just purchased my first Vette. '01 Pewter.
I get it in a week, but unfortunately I need to keep it outside for few months.

Can anyone recommend a High quality cover?

Also can anyone in the NYC area recommend a good driving school? I would to see what this baby can really do on a track while learning the skills to handle it.

Thx
Dom

Dom,
I'm sure there will be some folks along shortly to give you recommendations on the car covers they use. And you might try checking the websites of some of our sponsoring vendors, MidAmerica Corvette and Corvette America, for specials on some of those recommended car covers.

I just wanted to take a minute to say congratulations on your acquisition, and Welcome to the CAC!

Don't waste your money on a NOAH cover - its soft, but thats about all, mine works about as well as a thin cotton bedsheet - water and dirt both get through easily. In fact, I have a $19.97 Wal-Mart BUDGE cover over the NOAH cover to keep out water and dirt.

I have heard good things abouth the covers that have names like WeatherShield, but these are upwards of $300.

Thank you for the warm welcome - I will certainly check out the sponsors

Congrats on the new vette, and welcome. I love that color (Pewter).
Too bad you have to leave it outside, though.

I live in Staten Island NY - probably not the best place to drive a vette, but couldn't pass up the deal. Bought her from a family friend that was trading up for C6 droptop, the car has 40k miles but has never seen a rain or snow. Now, I'm waiting for availability in a garage. First chance I get I'm putting her in one.
