Dalziel looks for Road Atlanta success
THURSDAY 14TH APRIL 2005
Ryan Dalziel will make his first start in an ALMS ‘sprint race' this coming weekend as the series heads to Road Atlanta for the second meeting of the 2005 season.
The Scot, who made his sportscar debut in the opening race of the year, will be looking to build on an impressive sixth in class from the Twelve Hours of Sebring in the #5 Corvette C5-R of Pacific Coast Motorsports.
Having shown the team was on the pace at Sebring, Dalziel is confident of another good finish at Road Atlanta.
“I'm really looking forward to racing at Road Atlanta as I've only tested at the circuit before,” he said. “It's a challenging track with all its twist and turns but I'm confident Alex [Figge] and I can build on our experiences behind the wheel of the Menards-Yokohama Corvette and challenge for class honours. The team has done a great job working on the car since Sebring and I'm sure the changes and updates, together with new tyres from Yokohama, will boost our competitiveness in Sunday's race.”
