SRT Corvette C5-R in FFSA-GT
As announced earlier on, SRT will be present in the French GT championship, FFSA-GT. The team will participate in 5 races, not clashing with the Belcar calendar. The races are: Pau - Dijon - Albi - Le Mans - Magny-Cours.
"The aim is to perform as good as possible, and with the announced line-up, we're sure to be a regular frontrunner. The car will run in full FIA- specifications, as it will in the Proximus Spa 24 hours in July. This also means that we'll have useful information by than," explains Patrick Selleslagh.
Drivers will be Bruno Hernandez and Soheil Ayari. Bruno is an experienced gentleman-driver, who won the Coupe the France Supertourisme in 2002. Soheil Ayari is of course well known as member of the Pescarolo team but also won the French Supertourisme championship twice and is leading this championship in 2005.
"My first experience in the Corvette was astonishing. This really is a fabulous car and I think that we'll have a fair chance to even win a race. I'm very happy with this agreement," comments Soheil Ayari.
The first race will be in Pau, on the 7th and 8th of May.
