Just watched a nice split window go at the barret jackson auction for 34 or 35k. It was a power glide car but thought it was pretty cheap for that auction. Is the market dropping on midyears?

I saw that. It's really hard to judge the condition of a car via TV cameras under those lights. I think the buyer got a great bargain (although it cost him an additional $2500 for auction fees). I suspect bidders were holding their money for upcoming cars with more options. And, powerglide reduces the potential number of buyers.

Looked like most of the televised sales were bought by big shooters because who in their right mind would spend over $200K on a '55 Chevy Belair? How bout the guy who bought the '63 SW at $130K and then bought all the 4 Callaways! These guys have deep pockets and if they like a car it doesn't matter whether it's $50K or $150K. It equates with me going to the store and buying a dozen donuts. There're not in the real world.
