Picked up my Vette Bprakes Products control arms and springs at Carlisle last week. They look sweet.... All powder coated and ready to go. Now all I have to do is pull the body and the motor over the winter and get my Butt in gear.

I may have missed it But what are your total plans for this winter with the car?

Pretty scary going body off because you get into the "mine as well replace this" when the body is off frame of mind

Ooooh...nothing much.....Just pull the motor Replace with ZZ454/440 GMPP crate motor.... Pull the rear diff again... change out side yokes to BB type. Rebuild front end. Put Blinders on....only look at stuff that was palned before pullng body.

Have a few friends over to work with....but are really their to deter me from getting a case of the.....(Well..while I'm at it's..I might as well...blah...blah...blah.)

Have emergency secrete bank account just in case I get infected with "While I'm at it" Syndrome.....:L

Why are you pulling the body?

Heh Larry,

Since I have to pull the motor and the diff as well as fabricate a little on the exhaust and chnage out the drive shaft .....it's much easier to do all this with the body off.

Since I have a friend in the restro business who has pulled many a body it'll only take about an hour and a half to yank it off and put it on a dolly. From their it'll go in storage at another friends spotless warehouse in Vineland NJ.

So I'll have a nice open chassie to crawl around on. Sorta like Monkey Bars..:L .

I forget who here on the froum suggested that I yank the body ...I think it was John Lolli...But at the time it made sense ..rather then crawl around on the floor like I did last time I worked on the car. If I had a lift at my house I would leave the body on. :beer

Mark,

You may as well accept the fact that the "might as well" gremlin will make his appearance soon. :L

Rich

Yeah.....I'm getting a little nervous....I think I'll have John Lolli come over and hit me with a big stick in case I start to get carried away while working on the car..:L
