not sure if 67Heaven will allow this to stay - but there ARE a number of C1 and C2 pics here. :beer

Great show in Haddon Heights, NJ - great weather and a lot of really nice cars and nice people.
Once again I lucked out and the cars on either side of me had very nice owners and we had a great time enjoying the show together - especially the owners of the '71 coupe next to me.

There were cars ranging from a perfectly restored '54 all the way up to a number of C6's including Lance Miller's Calloway C6. This is the second weekend in a row that Lance drove out to a show in NJ. He was at the show on the boardwalk in Ocean City last week and now this one today. I got a chance to talk to him today for a few minutes and he is a nice guy and loves to talk about his new Calloway :)

A LOT of '66's there today and even with the other beautiful C1's and C2's there, in the '53-'67 classes the '66's seem to have ruled today and went home with most of the trophies.
Once more I left empty handed and I didn't care in the least - I love going to have a great day and to see a lot of beautiful cars and meet nice people so I left with THAT and the memories of that and that's all I wanted anyway :)

Oh one thing was NOT perfect though.......... when did the food vendors there decide that CHEESE WIZ is an appropiate type of cheese to use on cheeseburgers.........??? That was pretty bad!!

I agree Mac. Cheese Wiz is not the best invention in the world......... ;LOL

thanks for letting it stay Bob. I thought you might have to move it over the regional events section.

It's a blanket actually. Linda and I are selling them now and people can have any image they want put on it (cars, pets, kids, etc) and it's actually woven into the fabric of the blanket as the blanket is being made so the image never fades, peels off, etc.
I had one made with Baby on it to show at car shows (as you see in the pics) and another made with our Border Collie on it. When at shows I drop off a flyer and a brochure in the cars and than have the blanket with me in case people want to see it. - It worked out well today draped across the back of the car for people to see AND it kept the car cooler by keeping the sun out of that big rear window :D
Ok, enough of that infomercial...................... back to the cars!

was also at a nice ALL CAR show today in Bethesda, MD - was charity show to raise money for Children's Inn, which allows terminally ill children to stay in a home environment while undegoing treatment at NIH - about 160 cars total from 1931 Bentley to 2005 Ferrarri and everything in between - had something like 20 classes - class I was in was 1941 - 1965! They gave out three trophies in each class, and then had what they called ELITE 15 - when I was announced in the class, started packing car away and they called my name - was picked as one of the ELITE! show rasied a little over $30,000 for Children's Inn!

Rick
sounds like a real nice show.

We always knew LADY was an elite kind of girl. :beer

Nice pics bud..C U this morning at the show. Didn't know it was an all vette show. Take a peek at the Can AM pic u took yesterday...Thats Jonathon. He built that car in 1990 himself. First widebody I ever saw and interestingly enough it was at Kahunaville years ago. I remember vividly Alex and I talking to him. He was at Wheaton and got an email from him this week..he might be coming to OUR show today. I would have LOVED to gone yesterday.

Trophies ar overblown....Your car is magnificient my friend!

Andy

Thanks for shairing.

The more I see of those C3 pace cars the more I like them

Hi Larry

The Pace Car in the pics from the show only has 991 original miles on it on it. When he bought the car it only had 50.7 miles on it and that was only a year or two ago I believe. It was originally bought by a local dealership where it sat on display in the showroom all these years since it was brand new than they finally sold it to this owner who bought it "new".
Imagine buying a "NEW" 25 year old car!

Andy

yep, I know Jon's car and remember meeting him at Wheaton Village. I spoke to him a lot yesterday and he said he will definately be at our show today. A number of other people yesterday also said they will be at the show today! :)

You and I have had this discussion about trophies.......... it's Alex that we need to work on about getting him out of that "trophy mode' he is in

Great pictures Barry. It looks to have been an outstanding show. Rick, Congrats on your Elite 15 pick. Your car deserves it. Tom
