Hey all,
I need some guidance on how much I will be looking at cost wise for a custom paint job for my 81 Any suggestions would surely be appreciated

How custom?

A basic show quality paint job could cost a few thousand but a really tricked out job could cost well over $10K (think flames and airbrushing, etc.)

Or you could go Earl Sheib for a few hundred or even $30!

Erik is right!

You could save more by doing the prep work yourself (removing lights, sanding, priming, etc).

I would be better off doing the grunt work myself, thanks for the info......
Buying my 81 was like buying my first house...I feel I need to do everything at once....

My paint/body guy said a fresh paint job would cost me about $2k.
I'll just be going with black.
Nothing fancy.
Nothing complicated.
