Vette-less for now
OK folks..... I've got a problem with my turn signal. It goes like this:

a). when I turn on the right turn signal the green arrow in the dash lights and blinks as normal.

b). the right rear bulb flashes as normal.

..... but the right front light will not blink. The right running light comes on when the headlights are on as normal.

Now.... I've replaced the bulb, I replaced the socket, and connected to another ground, I even replaced the blinker relay. Nada, zippo..... no diffrerence. there are no visible broken or frayed wires. Any suggestion as to where to look next? I need this happily blinking by next Sunday for a show. I'll be losing points in tech before I even drive into the show lot.

Thanks............. Nut

Start tracing the wire from the turn signal switch connector on the steering column for the right front T/S with a test light to ground (don't know what color it is on an '81 - your Shop Manual or A.I.M. electrical diagram will tell you). Your bulb, socket, and ground are OK, so that filament isn't getting power from the T/S switch.
