No Heat/No A/C

;helpMy 87 has no heat and no airconditioning. Now I need the heat (winter) but all it blows is cold air. The a/c doesn't bother me as I have a convertible top down in the summer. I am wondering where to start looking for the heat problem first, second, third, etc.? This the first winter since I have had it for a couple years that I decided to try the heat. Help! CAB

Once the car warms up check the hoses to/ from the heater core to see if you're getting hot coolant to the heater (lower hose should be hotter than upper hose) If both hoses are about the same temp check for restrictions in the heater core.

Also the vents into the car are vacuum operated, If you're not getting heat or a/c there's a good chance the vents aren't opening.
