:ohnoesFellas, I finally got an answer from Hypertech on the retard dilema when running NOS with the hyperchip. They say 6 deg. retard.
Here is my setup:

stock 86 coupe with Auto trans
free flow exhaust
k&n air filter, with intake louvers removed totally
hyper chip stage 1
msd ignition with msd 3 stage retard controller
timing set at stock setting when at idle (6 deg BTC)
7 degree retard chip in module (only using 1st stage)
NOS wet nitrous kit ( pt # 05151nos)
#55 nitrous jet and #42 fuel jet (100hp shot)
Hobbs fuel pressure valve set to open at 38psi and under
Adjustable fuel regulator set at 50PSI at idle, drops to around 42 at WOT
stock plugs set at .045 gap

At 30 MPH, when floored with juice on ,tires brake loose.
At 40 MPH, when floored with juice on, tires chirp and car launches like a rocket
Pulled plugs after three, 5 second shots, and they were tan and perfect.
I can see how you become addicted to NOS. The pull is phenomenal, when tires hook up.
Now I need to invest in transmission work. I think torque converter isn't locking up fully.

Hope this info is useful to you.

Nice, keep us posted. And get a before and after performance increase.
1/4 mile with and without NOS. If you don't want to go to the track, measure out a 1/4 mile on some flat stretch of road.
