At least not for our Corvettes.

First, my '08 spends 10 weeks in the shop while the technicians try to figure out why the electrical system went stupid then my '06 gets backed into at a different dealership and needs a new nose. Got the '06 back yesterday and the nose looks nice. The reason for the dealership visit was the Check Engine Light was intermittant. Tech noted a "lean" history code but could not find the source.
Anyway, the '06 has a new nose and they did a good job matching the 6-year old DSOM paint.

Throw in a lightening damage issue to our house and now earthquakes and tornados in the area and 2011 is turning out to be a year that I could have skipped.

;shrug

Well, look on the bright side! At least there's no problem with the V-Wagon!:cool!:

Yeah, you're right there. It's just that the immediate issues seem to hide other things.

How was the shaking at you house?

:w Tuna,

Having met you and other from the Oklahoma Area Club we send our best wishes with the new year comes a Corvette Trouble Free year ;)

:w Jim so I take Tuna is an OSU fan, since you wish him well ... :happyanim: ;LOL :rotfl
(Those outside the state of Oklahoma, you would not understand, being a HUSKER at heart my comment goes back when there was a Big 8.) :w :chuckle

Capt. Tuna!

I have the solution!

Sell both the 06 and the 08 and order a '12 Z06.:w

I'm trying to hold out until the C7 gets here!
Besides, I have to pay off most of the V Wagon first and Susan wants a Volt somewhere in there. :ugh
At that rate, I'll never be able to retire.

Chances are, your lean codes were tripped because of the fuel's oxygenate. That's what happened to me.

The last time the CEL came on was after the car had been back in OK for a few weeks getting fed 100% gas but shortly after a fuel stop. I checked the gas cap and it had been tightened correctly.
Next time the light comes on, I'll take it to the dealer and have it checked while it's fresh.

Susan wants a Volt? Heck just give her "Spark" and you'll both be happy!:boogie

"Sparks" are not the problem. For some reason, she thinks she wants a Volt.
It will not have a Siemen's Level 2 charger either!

Tuna, I suggest you get out of Oklahoma asap. I'm sure a tsunami is headed that way by now. Check the oxygen sensor as several in our club have had that problem. Take care, pard.

That's the way I'm thinking also. Then again, it could be traded next week for a Volt and the next owner can figure it out. :D
