Hi all, my engine isn't running as well as it should be. Although i used some injection cleaner and cleaned the injectors, after that the engine is working better and better, but not 100%. What i need to do next is to read any fault codes. I haven't any scantolls for the moment, but i have a 16 pin stick on a OBDI system. Where should i jump the wire? Between 5 and? Someone told me between 5 and 6, but if i do that the coolant fan starts and nothing more happens. And how can i delete codes?
I changed the coolant water just a moment ago, after that when i tried to start the vette, it didn't start :ugh I managed to make it start after a while though. I figure the optisparc was the problem. Are those a common problem on late c4? The engine is ok when cold, but with a little heat in the block, the engine is running worse :confused

And how can i delete codes?
:confused

There are a few ways to do this, but I always disconnect the positive post on the battery for 30 seconds or so.

AutoZone can clear them for no charge by plugging into your car's link. You can also remove certain fuses to do the same thing.

On my 96, which is OBDII (so it may not be the same as your 94) I can pull all my codes by just using a paper clip. The step by step is in my FSM.
