I don't want to offend anyone who may still be fiddling with winter projects or hampered by cold conditions...but, this past weekend was beautiful and just perfect for cruising down to the gulf in "goldfinger". Me and the wife have wanted to tour the damages down in Cameron, La and this weekend we went for it...the stories don't do the damages justice. You have to see it with your own eyes. Well, we logged 257 miles on the trip and the 85 performed flawlessly. This has been the longest jaunt we've been on since I've aquired the car. It still needs a paint job but man does it run smooth. 22 mpg...not too bad for a car that still has the origninal mill and is 21 years old. Just felt like sharing that with all my little buddies on CAC. You're the greatest and be patient...those spring days are just around the corner and you might want to share your cruising with us. Remember to save the wave and above all...enjoy the best sports car around.

It was a beautiful day in the Northeast today too!!! Took my 88 to work today even though I am not supposed to with collector insurance. I drove about a 100 miles or so in NJ.Had to give it a run!!!Its never happy sitting still in the garage. On the way back I stopped by in Staten Island NY where my 71is stored and swapped cars. Left the 88 in a garage and drove the 71 Big Block. What a great day though for weather...Crystal clear...no pollen and no bugs up here yet. Work and driving 2 Vettes in one day...Doesnt get any better than this.....I will bring the 88 back in about a month or so. Its my C3 which I will play with now:lou

It is great to be an American and driving a Vette. Sittin low, cruzin, it was a nice day here today in Western PA. No bugs to scrap, salt seems to be gone, no water on the roads. And cool temperatures in the 50's for some nice horsepower making condensed air. Kids are still in school, so durning the day traffic is light. In a perfect world thought, the goodyear F1's could use a little more heat in them.

I got about an hour long cruise in last Sunday afternoon with my daughter. She actually fell asleep until I passed a car. No real fast speeds. It was nice to get the car out on the road, especially after getting it back together. It really makes you long for those lazy cruising days of summer.

My cruise started Feb 25 @ 6:15AM In Elk Grove Ca. Met my Father in law and Vic on their Harleys in Stockton to start the trip to Daytona for “Bike Week”. The King (90 ZR1) turned 100,000 miles as I left home. One minor problem, blown alternator in Casa Grande AZ. on Sunday morning. You guessed it, no parts available till Monday. Pepboys had the parts installed by 2PM Monday( good job guys, THANK YOU). The bikes had gone on when I broke down so now its time to catch up. I left Casa Grande @ 2:30 next stop El Paso a little over 6 hrs later. The rest of the trip was uneventful. Back home March 16th with 107,000 miles on the clock, The King behaved beautifully (other than the alt.) for the trip. He really likes sustained speeds of 80 or more, short burst into triple digits OK. It only took a week to clean up after the trip. The worst part was the noise that the Goodyear D3’s made on the concrete roads in Texas, sounded like finger nails on a chalkboard. :D:Steer
