Everyone, Thought I would take a moment and provide a site update.

Our Callaway Forum now has OVER 7000 individual posts within 744 topics since its begining :upthumbs

- Post 7000 belongs to "8388" and his LONG list of cars owned up to the point he bought his first (of many) B2K(s)
...NICE Collection - post on Sam.

This month, we have seen some new faces appear bringing some "Heavy Hitters" to the group. - Welcome ALL!!! :m

This forum has continued to be a great source of info, as threads have covered many, many topics including performance and upkeep of these awesome Corvettes as well as just talking about the cars we all love - I have also posted a few polls and have shared the info with some people who will try and make our Callaway wishes come true :)

The Callaway market has seen a few cars sell recently and some awesome Callaways are headed for the auction block in 2004 - these include the Super Speedster LM, C7R, and the most incredible Callaway EVER constructed - The Sledgehammer :eek
What an opportunity this will be for some lucky bidder - Link to the Callaways up for auction
I have also noted a few threads from people seeking Callaways - As always, make sure you contact Joanne Mercer at Callaway Cars to verify and register the car - she can be reached by e-mail at: jmercer@callawaycars.com

Surf's quest for power has him above the 400hp (at the rear wheels) :eek - Congrat's Surf, it is a shame that you posted that it will be up for sale before the year's end :(
Someone will get a POWERFUL Callaway indeed!!!

Owners & Enthusiasts, keep Bloomington on your calendar for Thursday, June 24 through Sunday, June 27th - The show is in St. Charles, Il. again this year. If you sent me information and photos about your Callaway, the packet (looked more like a thick magazine devoted to Callaways) has been submitted - stay tuned, more info after mid-month.

Callaway of the Month - November 2003 is ??????

Truth be told, between the countless hours put in the packet for Bloomington and all the preparations I have been doing lately, getting ready for my latest arrival, I had to put things into perspective - Rest assured, a COTM has been selected for this month and will be uploaded soon as well as, more site features at www.callawayownersgroup.com - which now sports a new "look" and layout to it, check it out!!
(previous month's "COTM's" can be found in the "GALLERY" section of the Callaway Owners Group website)

Keep the threads coming – as I said, a lot of GREAT information is exchanged here on a daily basis – Without everyone here, it would not be the success that it continues to be :)

Enjoy your November with your family & friends, remembering everything that you are thankful for in life!!!

It is amazing to see how much this site has grown as a result of everyone's participation. As CC said, the number of people that head here in search of a new Callaway is quite astounding too!

There aren't any money probs with the sale of quite a few of the most Callaway collectible cars. Callaway is as busy as ever with new C5 products, Mazdas OEM program and a lot of other stuff. Can you imagine owning the Sledgehammer? It has got to be the most talked about Corvette with it's reputation built solely on speed and endurance. I can't wait to see what it brings!

Is there any way to tell when the Sledgehammer will actually hit the podium? I would love to watch the action.

Eric, I hear from people all the time who either had not heard about Callaway Corvettes or, they have tremendous misinformation on these awesome cars :confused

I have directed many to this site as I know other have too - it is GREAT to have a place to chat about these machines and keep them out front!

Enjoy :beer

Thanks much...it's on my calendar. :beer

Tim, you are welcome :upthumbs
I am guessing the prime spots are more for two reasons, potential "high traffic" times and possible televised segment spots... I would also throw "e-bidding" times into there - those cars that will draw the most, I imagine are encouraged to register into one of those spaces for proper timing...

Just my thoughts :m

Chris,

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Reeves Callaway donate Sledgehammer to (I forget which one) a Corvette museum. Whats the main drive behind selling this historic piece of automotive machinery. Any info would clear this up for me.

It has been on loan to the Natl. Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY for years and was recently shipped to California to be at the Petersen Auto Museum - Hope this helps :m
