You will find the vast majority of the Callaway Corvettes (and other models) to be well kept and cared for automobiles :)

My TT, I had to pass on it due to my timing however, I found the exact same Callaway 2 years later and bought it :m

Keep the faith :)

i read the article :s

good story, nice ride. ill let you know when i get my own article :)

Aren't all B2K's stick?? I wonder what the reserve is on that car??

Jay

Jay, In 1987, two cars were done as Automatics (Turbo 400 trans w/ gear vendors aux. overdrive for a 4th gear)
1988 & 89 each had roughly a dozen cars each year - I have the figures somewhere ;)
1990 the Auto was discontinued as California emission cert was finalized and the auto box was dropped - 4500 dollar option for the Automatic :eek

Found this at bottom of Ebay page -->

The transmission in this Corvette is a manual and not an automatic. This was an error on our part, we apologise for inconvienence this may have caused. RM Cars Online

If you look at the shift boot you can tell its a 4+3 ;)

Surf's - thats true :) Looking at this pic. there is not a gear indicator plate on the Left side like an automatic would have.

As far as Automatics in 87, I know the very last car done (direct conversion - to 89 specs) has not only the Automatic but also the flat hood w/ intercooler ducting from the underside :cool

any estimates of what the reserve may be on this one?

my brother is semi-looking for a C4, this would be an amazing first corvette.

If he's seriously looking...I know a guy who has a very nice, very fast 88 B2k for sale ;)

if the right one for the right price comes along, hes buying. he is not nesscessarily looking for a callaway tho. unfortunatly, i think about $20k would be tops. :( what is your friend asking?

Its me..... I'll probably post the car on ebay pretty soon. Id take 23k for it right now. But it will probably have a 25k buy it now on ebay with a 23500 reserve the first time out.

i see what you were getting at before, i just didnt put 2 and 2 together... :)

i called the dealer, and the reserve on this auction is set at $28,000. there have been 3 owners. thats all i got.
