I bought the Ease Diaognostic Software and it's show the O2 sensor output flippen back and forth from .125 v to .899v many times a second. Is this normal or??? The schematics show the wire going straight to the ECM so no device inbetween to cause any problems. My Rich Lean chart is flippen back and forth along with the output of the O2. This is a brand new sensor, not even 2 hrs old. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated....thanks...!!!

Sorry I can't help but I was wondering what the scoop is on this software you mention ?

Yep.

Actually the newer the sensor the larger the swing. Can vary between 10mv to 1000mv several times per second. As the sensor gets old the voltage swing gets smaller and slower. Faster RPM will also cause faster swings.

Here's the site I bought my software from. It's the same price as the Ease web site. I like knowing what's going on under the hood and this is best way to see it. I also monitor it twice weekly and compare reports to see if anything is going south....the O2 sensor I'm still not sure of....

Ok thanks..!! :w I guess the ECM then takes an average and adjusts from there... :Steer

Magmotor - The waveform is the result of the computer continually adjusting the injector pulse time attempting to maintain the "ideal" air/fuel mixture near 14.1:1
